TIPS FOR DESIGNING A NURSERY - PROJECT SHAKE FRONT
Designing the nursery for Project Shake Front has me feeling all reminiscent about the days when I planned my own baby's nurseries...and even more excited than I already was for the new grand baby that will bless our family come spring. So with all the reminscening and excitement going on I can't resist sharing...
TIPS FOR DESIGNING A NURSERY
- Keep it looking mature enough so it transtions well beyond the new baby stage.
- Avoid designing around a theme or buying instant decor and layette collections.
- Stay away from nursery-looking furniture (other than the crib of course) and instead choose more transitional furnishings that would look good, and work well in other spaces of your home.
- Same thing goes for the accessories - avoid designated baby accessories that are stale and predictable, like was mentioned in tip two.
Although the over-all selections stayed the same between the options I provided my clients, I included varying degrees of pink and changed up the rugs I used.
